25 years ago at famed Pinehurst #2, Payne Stewart made the longest putt ever to win the US Open on the final hole of regulation, defeating Phil Mickelson. The 15-foot par putt at number 18 lives on as one of the greatest clutch putts of all time and as one of the most iconic moments in golf history.
Payne’s final round putting performance, using a SeeMore original bronze FGP putter, was completely otherworldly, taking only 24 putts and making one great putt after another on some of the most difficult greens in the world. During that 1999 season, using the SeeMore putter, Payne Stewart ended the season as the best putter on the PGA Tour.
